For professional bodies

A member who meant to renew shouldn't lapse at a password reset.

We help professional bodies make renewal, self-service and member voting easy enough that members just do them, and your team stops being the bridge between systems.

The problem professional bodies share

Members choose you every year, and most lapses aren't a choice

When membership is voluntary, renewal is the most important transaction of the year. A member who lapses rarely decided to leave. The renewal email arrived at a bad moment, the link asked for a login they couldn’t remember, and three weeks later they’d forgotten.

The rest of the year runs through the office. Can you update my email? Can you resend my receipt? I’ve changed firms, who do I tell? Each request is small, none needs expertise, and each one takes a staff member away from the work that keeps members.

What changes

Saying yes is easier than saying nothing

One
click

Renewal straight from the email

A personalised link takes the member to a renewal page that already knows them. No login, no password reset.

This
year

The email shows what membership did for them

Renewal emails draw on what each member used this year, without anyone writing them one by one.

The
few

Staff call the members who need a call

At-risk members are flagged before the renewal window opens, so personal calls go to the few, not the hundreds.

Right
first time

Members keep their own details

Addresses are checked as they’re typed, and a change reaches every system that needs it.

One
vote

Elections members take part in

Members vote from a link, eligibility is checked against your records, nobody votes twice, and the ballot stays anonymous.

What doesn't change

Your membership model stays yours

Your categories, your pricing and your constitution stay as they are. We take the routine handling off your team.

We work with the membership system you already have. Both bodies below run iMIS, and we built around it.

Proof

Two voluntary-membership bodies

Law Institute of Victoria. Membership is voluntary, so members decide each year whether the LIV is worth paying for. We built 1-Click renewal, which removes the login between a personalised renewal email and a completed payment. We then extended the same pattern to councillor voting: eligibility is confirmed and duplicate votes are blocked, and iMIS records only that a member voted, not how.

Australian Institute of Management WA. AIM WA runs registrations and payments every working day. Earlier integration attempts by other firms had left data quality problems. We delivered real-time web services between the website and iMIS, so the price a member saw matched the AMS and the invoice came out clean. Online registrations rose, and staff time on phone bookings and data cleanup fell.

Five things to check on your own system

Answer these about last year's renewal

1

Of last year’s lapsed members, how many told you they were leaving?

2

How many steps sit between your renewal email and a paid renewal, and does one of them ask for a password?

3

How many “can you update my details” or “can you resend my receipt” requests reach the office in a month?

4

When a member changes their email on your website, how many other systems get it without someone re-keying it?

5

At your last council or board election, how did you confirm who could vote and that nobody voted twice?

If the answers bother you, we'd like to hear about it.
