Membership reminder texts that go out each morning without a report

Membership staff used to start each day by building a query for members coming due or gone unfinancial. They worked out each lapse date by hand, the paid-to date plus 60 days, then drafted and sent the texts themselves.

Now a workflow we built runs at 9am every morning. It reads membership status and due dates from the member database, finds everyone who reaches a reminder day that morning, and sends the text.

Members get three texts before their due date, timed alongside the renewal emails, and three more after it if they are still unfinancial. Members on auto-renewal do not get the due texts, and a couple who share a mobile get one text, not two. On the first morning 175 members got a text and none failed.

A person still owns the conversation. The membership team wrote the wording and chose the days, and how often to contact members about money is their call.

To check your own office: who reminds lapsed members to pay? Does it start with someone building a report? What happens on the days that person is away?
